BENEFITS RENEWAL STRATEGIST

We are currently looking to hire a full-time Benefits Renewal Strategist who will serve as the person primarily responsible to manage the renewal process for clients above 50 enrolled participants. Candidates must have excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills, project management and computer skills. Candidates must be able to work independently as liaison between the carriers and the clients and must be assertive. Candidates must show a proven expertise in plan design and strategy in both fully insured and self funded programs.
Job Description:
Use advanced insurance knowledge to provide our clients and prospect with proper support and service. Manage entire renewal process.
Job Duties:
Initiate the renewal process including scheduling appointments, preparing proposals, presenting renewal recommendations, and coordinating and leading enrollment meetings
Cultivate client relationships with business owners and HR managers throughout the year, request carrier proposals, and prepare presentations
Manage all group renewals, including obtaining required documents at point of sale or renewal
Market of renewal business
Responsible for account retention
Round out accounts with additional services or products
Analyze quotes and/or review with producers to determine needs of prospect or client
Review policy contracts to ensure quoted product was issued; have carrier correct any discrepancy
Develop and retain relationships with carrier marketing representatives
Confer with customers by telephone or in person in order to provide information about products and services, to take orders or cancel accounts, or to obtain details of complaints
Skills/Qualities:
Thorough knowledge of the Employee Benefits Industry
High level of motivation with commitment to professional growth and a desire to grow towards team leadership
MUST HAVE a minimum of seven years experience in Group Insurance/Employee Benefits Industry
Knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office programs
Salary commensurate with experience – Salary Requirements must be included to be considered for this position
